Haven't been around much, since I just heard about the game a few days ago while browsing on the internet. I am a very active player in any game I play. I would also be available for streaming a couple of days a week ( although I never did this before ).

Its true, did ask for a key before, but never opened a thread about it.

Sorry I really don't see the idea with this thread :P You say that you will only give your key to an player that doesn't have begged for an key, but when people write here that's what they do.

And most of the players that's writing anything constructive on the forums are already beta members.

Don't wont to be an ass just how I see it :P

Well some people are just begging for a key, pretty much in the same way they did in other scenarios, and shouldn't have posted here in the first place.

In an ideal world, everyone will only be pointed out by others (I recommended that people point others out; I would even give keys to such people if I had more), but the fact is some people just need to take claim for one second of what they did (or didn't) do. While the intention may still be to get a key, it is not necessarily asking for a key unless they actually say something like "give me a key please", or "I hope you choose me" (which will not disqualify you here,although it's not recommend to say regardless).

Preparation:
Before I say anything, that's great you're giving out a BETA Key in the Forums today. And it's a nice gesture to include many users on the community for this chance.

Beginning:
Okay, to start this off, my name is ViperSniper101. I am nice, respectful, and patiently waiting for a chance at Path of Exile.

I have been always been waiting to get a BETA Key, and been very kind by doing it. I can play it anytime I can, because I am currently unemployed. I will record game play-throughs, like "Force", or "Lumin". I can play with you, or play with other players currently that has the BETA.


Key Essentials:
I'm always being respectful. You can even look at my recent posts. I love to give suggestions, feedback, and include a lot of members in activities I play.


Concluding:
Not only am I a great, and wise choice, but I can respect a lot of members around me, and will.


Take it in:
Please take this into suggestion, and please choose me for a BETA Key. I will respect what you choose and hopefully I can get a Key. I also will be posting Threads such as this one, when I play. Thanks, and have a great day!

as far as 1-liners and constructive things go:

I think those criteria aren't really a good choice, because before you are in the beta you just can't really give that much constructive posts back in a forum that's (except for beta memebers) actively 90% spam. Again since it's 90% spam at some point you just want to post something after reading the 20th spam post even if it's just a "yeah I'll take one too" or a "oh come on shut up" in another begging thread. Of course you could be constructive if you spend a lot of time just watching streams etc. but I haven't watched all that much because I want to keep things for myself to discover once I get to play.

That being said I have plenty of 1-liners, though I don't think they're all that bad. I also have a few "bitching" posts and I don't know what counts as begging but I've been part of many giveaway competitions and I also left my post in a few of those collective begging threads that go over many many pages. (though I didn't really expect anything, like I said at some point you just want to post too ;)) I never started a begging or other useless thread.

as far as usefullness goes: I'm experienced in this genre, I have a good amount of freetime right now and the constructive contribution will come once I get the chance.

Yea, its hard to be constructive, about something we havent even seen. And this is beta invites forum, ppl comes here to ask or offer beta keys, at least thats what the forum header says. Applying to your contest is begging for beta key aswell :)

Btw i was in korean and US lineage 2 betatest, wow beta, both eu and us, rift and nadirim beta. But sure I asked for a key here too. And I got only one account, cause I play fair. Maybe thats enough for your contest. But I'm sure there are ppl here who should revieve key before me.

Nice idea OP. I've only been round for a couple of months, and mainly lurk reading and watching lumins videos. Looking forward to this game and being from New Zealand I think its awesome seeing POE getting massive international attention.

Why advertise you have a key to give away if you don't want public praise or begging?You could always go through peoples posts checking what they have posted and how they have been active in the community.

The whole thing is awful. The timer should not be made public, nor the fact they have given away keys to make people jump like monkeys for them in the beta forum, people were being idiots enough before they implemented the friend key system.

You can guarantee that 90% of the people in here behaving like crack whores wont give two shits for the game ones its released, the only reason they want/NEED a key is because they don't have one, not because they are such devoted fans of the game or its developers.

Get rid of the timer from the front page, get rid of friend invites and get one person at the company to scan the forums occasionally and hand out keys to members of the community they feel would be beneficial to the game and the community.

When I see people who joined on 2/3rd September posting about how they "NEED A KEY NOW OMGZ" it makes me want to cry. Keys should be prioritised to people who have been waiting since last year, not some Bnet kiddy with ADHD who joined yesterday and will fill their pants if they don't get it immediately.

A: People don't have to beg to be chosen. He could just look what they said (opposing that they didn't beg) and he could look if they helped frequently for this community site.

A: It's not awful. It's smart thinking. Since they made the Timer visible, more & more members have joined this site. Also, giving away Keys in masses, gets people hyped-up, and is a publicity stunt.

A: First off, please do not cuss on the Threads, it seems totally UN-professional. Secondly, Most of the members on this site, (excluding the 1-liners) have a major sense of acknowledgement for those around each other. And I personally am a devoted fan to GGG.

A: Creating the Timer invisible again will create havoc, and will be bad for publicity. And "friends invites" has become greater to their site. They have more people replying, and creating new chat threads, which includes more people joining.
