Well you'd have to make it a special case, like adding to EB that it also regen mana when you gain ES, which would work with the Unique shield that gives ES when you block too. Because if you don't and you add it as an overall mechanic, then mana leech is converted to life when you have blood magic, and along with vaal pact you'll reach truly stupid amounts of physical leech %.

As for OP or not, don't know, it seems fairly similar to how currently a lot of builds go for blood magic to sustain high cost abilities. Instead they'd have to go to GR AND EB, meaning it'd be less than optimal for marauder/duellist and to an extent templar/ranger, while blood magic is on the other side. Problem currently is EB seems mostly good at running auras, regen is good but not stellar and doesn't let you run as much as blood magic can with a good amount of life leech.
