Apeiron's Proof that sustaining RF on Life with pure regen works again viable.

I was really looking to try a high life RF build again after they announced new purity. Hopefully I can get a phoenix.

Ruby Flasks are your friend.

I plan on using 4 auras, Purity, Purity of fire, Vitality and Hatred all on mana and cast EK with blood magic. I'll use Alpha's howl to get +2 to both Vitality of Fire, hopefully getting +4% max fire resist and more life regen.

I tested this build in PvP too and managed to kill people a lot faster than I expected. I have tested the build in level 70 maps so far and it does well, I also did double boss Spider Forest and face tanked that, I'll need leveled CoDT to do that again though I think.

I have something similar in mind for myself too. However, I think you will need an Empower attached to Purity of Fire for it to give +4% max resist. Currently it says that only level 17 gives +3% max resists, and if it follows the same pattern, 4% would be available at level 23.

True, I am tossing up whether to use the standard +3% with 36% increase aura effect to get it to +4% that way or use empower and alpha's howl to get it to +4% and then make it +5% with only 28% extra effect of auras.

The only problem with using Empower + Reduced mana + Purity of Fire in an Alpha's Howl is that it requires 3 Red sockets, and if I wanted to get a buffed up Vitality as well it would have to have 4 Red sockets, near impossible!

I have an extra Rise of the Pheonix if anyone is interested in trading it for an Alpha's Howl ;)

You can get +4 max resi from purity of fire using it in a Weapon with +1 to gems and a lvl 2 empower, u can link red mana also easy in your weapon therefore you dont need alphas howl.

And i would try to get the Auras to +6 max resi if u spec into + 50% aura. Because migated Damage is more viabel than filling the gap with life regen.

Therefore u would end up with 91% Fire Resi which is pretty damn good :D

Edit:

Cause with 91% MaxResi u only need 8.1% life Regen, - ~2,4 from Vitality lvl 20 (+50%)
remain 5.7% Life Regen (342% per Minute for poebuilder Users) in Total.
This is pretty easy to get from the Tree :)

Wait, isn't that just level 22 purity of fire? Or do we know that it gives 4% max resist at level 22?

Holy shit, a level 21 is enough, Purity of Fire gives +4% max resistances at level 21!!!



I have a wand with +1/+2 to Fire gems + Empower = +5 total

Link a level 16 Purity of Fire in there and its level 21 with +4% max :D

I don't even need to use empower connected to it, I could just use Alpha's Howl at level 19 PoF and it will give me +4% which will convert to +5% with the aura buff increase (28%).
