I found one of these and was overly excited about the possible insane damage boost. In the end, 3 green sockets for the global IAS only decreased my dps by 3k compared to my 307 pDPS axe. I personally think 10% block > 3k dps so I'm using it anyway.
The thing I was most excited about was 6 white sockets on Tabula. Would have been a nice AoE boost for sure. |

the physical bonus affects the other hand as well, since it seems to add to the local multiplier on the weapon at first glance. should be awesome with a weapon like soultaker or similar.

The Physical Bonus affects both slots, and the Attack Speed is Global.
So put your highest phys dmg 1hander in main and watch it's new damage (if you have three red sockets in your Eclipse in off-hand). It's not per socketed gem it's per socket on the weapon, your attack speed is already calculated and shown on the tooltip and adding more gems will do nothing to it.

this weapon is an offensive shield, chuck it in your offhand and use a skill that only attacks with your main hand, youd be able to scale your damage off every dual wield node in the passive tree in addition to an amazing 75% more phys and 10% block from the sword itself, an interesting niche that while not powerful now, may show up a ton in PVP where thiss etup could do alot more than a 2hander, while playing a build that shreds armor with high single hits.
