prismatic eclipse twighlight blade bug

so I just bout this weapon for a decent amount of chaos thinking it would be a great upgrade based on the weapons stat descriptions. which are that it recieves 25% bonus phys dmg for each red socket you have.
12% global attack speed per green socket
2% mana leech per blue
and 2 melee and unarmed ranged per white.
now as far as I know that last one would be a pretty clear indicator that these bonuses apply from all of your sockets seeing as how you cant even have a white socket on weapons so I put it on and to my dismay it is only affect by the sockets on the item which makes zero sense. Im almost posistive this is a bug and if it isnt its extremely misleading text in the description of the item.

Yes i have encountered the same issue, big money sink if it turns out they just messed up the item tooltip.

From what I have seen on the forums (which is also my opinion), most people seem to view this item as evidence that GGG has added a vendor recipe to create white sockets. To me common sense suggests that there is no way that this count all of the socket in your gear.

600% physical dmg max hell yh ;p then again if it is only whats on the weapon its another trash unique!

I did some testing with it this morning, and it's not as far-fetched as you think. I'm not sure how exactly it calculates it, but changing sockets on the weapon had very negligible affects on my dps. With all red, even some crap level 50 high physical roll sword i was using actually does damage than the unique does. Counting all the slots in my gear would make it a good weapon, if it doesnt, it's absolute trash. I'm hoping it does, and they didn't just add another trash unique that no one wants.

I agree that it doesn't seem very good if it only counts the sockets on the weapon. On the other hand up to 1200% (if dual wielding them) increased damage would be extremely OP.

Perhaps the unique was added as a hint that we can use a recipe to make sockets white, and not so much for its usefulness as an endgame item.

if you d/w two of these both with 3 green sockets is it faster than 2x of the 1.9 maces?

i have another question about this item
Let's say u make 3 red sockets and u have 75% increase dmg. Does this increased dmg add up to the legendary item only or it add up to the offhand weapon too ??
