BSOD's following tonights maint

could just be coinc, but i have suffered 4 bsod's immediatly following tonights maint. have played for about 10 days solid now, not a hiccup. played all day today. was online for maint shutdown, logged back in and had my first bsod within 15 mins. had one every hour since then.

my comp is rock solid normally, not to say i havnt suffered a hardware failure. tested both ram sticks by running each indiv just to rule out the first likley culprit, RAM seems fine, crash occurs on either stick, new ram and unlikely both sticks went bad at once.

i run onboard sound so no creative card here. just wondering if anything was tweaked during maint that might account for sudden BSOD's? not seeing any other threads so kind of doubting it.

getting a critical object termination caused by driver ntoskrnl.exe 0x000000f4
If this BSODs will continue try this http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en;330100

thnks for the response. after screening outside of poe this morning i dug around in event viewer and blue screen view and believe i have traced it to a corruption in my pnrpSVC, possibly caused by antivirus. hopefully that will prove the fix, and just odd timing it happened right after maintenance for some reason. please feel free to delete the thread.
Just wanted to add that this began for me as well after the maintenance today.

The length of time seems to vary between BSoD's, but I have gotten three since the maintenance. Been roughly two years since I've gotten one, and have played the game perfectly fine prior.

Didn't catch what the shown cause was, though.

hmmm, interesting taric. my bsod's persist, but have been getting them all day out of game just doing routine surfing, etc. just seems wierd they started right after maintenace last night but i dont see how that could have anything to do with bsods outside of game. still chalking it up to coincedence? been talking to some support guru's to try to get to the bottom of things. so wierd how they just came out of the blue with no other changes to my system other than a maintenanc patch for poe.
poe tech guys, is there any possible way that whatever was tweaked in the patches could have manifested in blue screens for myself and taric? just in the interest in tracking down my gremlin, would be good to be able to rule the game out given the freak timing. been pullin my hair out all day tshooting and really really want to PLAY POE!!! lol
When I get home from work today, I'll see if it still continues, and if so, I'll root out my cause.

The timing is awkward, and is the main reason I came browsing the Support/Bug Report area to see if anyone else suddenly got the issue.

I hope it's PoE, and not me having to suddenly need to replace something expensive :O

ya, totally Taric, same here, seems like its just us though, lol. spent 12 hours yesterday doing tweaks and hitting tshooting forums, was still crashing as of late last night. havnt screened since updating my SSD firmware as my last attempt, but holding my breath for it, just fired up the comp today. hate chasing down bluesceens, lol. and i really want to play POE! no way im playing my witch in merciless with death penalty with my comp unstable, ha ha. time for that necro alt untill i get it sorted out.
I haven't gotten it today, and have played a good 6 hours or so.

However, two things have happened:

First: There was a patch/maintenance, or something today. Happened very quick and may have solved it.

Second: I did the "--softwareaudio" thing that was suggested in a sticky, in-case (despite it being fine before) the previous maintenance was messing with my sound card. However, I only used my headset today while playing, which goes via USB, rather than through my Sound Card. (I have a Creative X-Fi Titanium, or whatever it was called, and have for years now.)

I will re-update this tomorrow, if anything changes. As well as test it without the Audio bit.

Okay, let us know how it goes! We've been busy with the holidays and Open Beta prep, sorry if we're unable to respond!
