GGG's policy on real world trading?

Will GGG be banning players for 3rd party real world trading in game? I know it is a big complain with a certain other game having it in the game, but is it something GGG is going to allow?
As a general rule it's a no no.

This is most and foremost because of GGG's strict anti-p2w' policy. And allowing other players to purchase in game items with real money is considered pay to win.

They might not ban you if you do it with say, jsp but trading for real money and/or goods is very very likely to end in a ban.

Mind you, GGG hasn't clarified their exact stance on this subject, I expect to see the whole detained thing at the OB.

But where is this stated? And on what grounds could they ban you since there are no terms and conditions?

can't stop it.

just don't do it. that's all i can say.
Chris personally hates d2jsp, and for fairly good reason. He's a lead dev, and sites like that are designed to circumvent the established/official methods of trading as deemed by the developers.

The policy will be (I use future tense; the terms of service are not yet as nutted out as they could be, even though they do exist -- see the bottom of the page) something like 'you must not.'

But of course, let's be realistic: this is more like 'don't get caught.'

Out of respect for the devs and the game as THEY want it to be played, I have not and will never go outside their established methods of trading. I've only done it once for any game (EverQuest 1, bought some plat on ebay I think it was, for my guild), and even then I felt kind of dirty although it was 'charity' for my good slaves, I mean, guild members.

Anyway. There's policy, and then there's policing. In the case of something so hard to enforce, I think 3rd party trading will be more a case of the former and less of the latter.

But I will personally lose all respect for you if you do it. Seriously. Don't.
If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period.

Just skimmed through the terms and conditions at the bottom, as far as I can see they are only related to the website and not the actual game?
The actual term of service aren't yet entirely done (they are being made with a lawyer) or are simply being held off until open beta.

Alright, that makes sense. Guess we just have to wait for Open Beta.
So much discussion has been done on this topic....

In the end, it usually ends in...
