PoE you are a life saver!
" And thats WHY activision/blizzard are failing right now. |

" Not a fan boy at all, I disagree with decisions they make all the time. But all in all they are a good company and they are all gamers so the BY GAMERS FOR GAMERS holds true. Maybe I am a new gamer, idk? But I remember my first video game being Zelda for the old school Nintendo, you know the one that was gold colored. And I've played games like D1,D2,War1-3,CSS,SC1,SC2,WoW,Rift. Those are the ones I enjoyed playing countless hours on. I do know what I'm talking about though, I prefer not to make uneducated posts b/c then I'll turn out looking like an idiot. :] |

" PSH CSS? but not CS1.6 :p You plan on getting The NEW CS when it comes out? i can't wait ;D |

" To each his own. But I'll be playing PoE alongside D3 with some SC2 sprinkled in of course. I thik D3 and PoE are both going to be amazing ARPGs with some key differences. After playing both I'll be able to decide which direction was the better choice.. but I don't see me quitting either one for a long time unless they seem like the same game, which doesn't seem possible at the moment. Just curious I'm a PoE member just like you, why do you attack me just b/c I offered my point of view on the Blizzard thing? Stuff like this is what ruins forums and separates the mature from the immature. |

Is that all you got? Naming the color of a old outdated game system and calling me an idiot? Thats it?

Haha, funny vid.
But well, what can I say nexter and xPyrox u r both right and wrong. First of all - nexter - u behave like a aggressive kid, its stupid to rage about someone else decisions. They ruin THEIR game, not urs sir - they need amounts, maybe most pros won't like what they do, but remember - games nowadays are aimed at masses. Secondly - Blizzard/Activision - Yeah, the developing team of their games is what I like maybe, but the owners of that sh!* made their games go GIVE US MOAR MONEY! So well, dont rage at company but at their owners for being greedy bit**es :D. And last thing - I've played all titles u wrote here and many many more. I hate that we can't play Starcraft 2 over lan when we make a lanparty. But well, Starcraft, CS 1.6 and other games are still alive ^^ Keep your cool, everyone ;) | |

" The game cartridge was gold. The reason he's bringing up "outdated" (NES still has some of the best games.) systems is because your argument rests on a claim that Blizzard doesn't care about its games. As such, showing his time as a gamer gives him validity to be able to refute that argument. That is, by a history of gaming, he can tell what are quality games. Regardless of whether you like the choices or not, Blizzard's choices have been done because they've felt those choices would be good for the game. Or, as with WoW especially, because the gamers have asked for it: and often, those choices led to the mistakes and poorer quality product. In fact a gaming company that listens to its gamers CAN actually hurt the product. As such, there has to be understanding of a whole lot more: story, design, contrast, the need for a challenge, etc. than simply "gaming" to make a good game. As for WoW falling apart, I tend to agree. But that's because that game has shifted too much from its original feel. All the same, even now it's pioneering some pretty great systems. And many of the things that are taking the game in a bad direction are concessions to the game's community. People complained about Arena, so they added rated battlegrounds, which turned out to be stagnant and, well, worse. Admittedly, a lot of the reasons for WoW starting to splinter is that the way they addressed the concessions was ill-advised. However, that's been a long history with Blizzard. D2's fixes for its extremely broken systems were often poor choices, such as having SoJ recipes to try to remove SoJs from the economy, which only promoted even more the duping of SoJ's and making those parts of the game nearly impossible to get for legitimate players. Don't get me wrong, if PoE handles a couple issues well, it'll be a great game. But you somehow seem to correlate D3's and PoE's success in your mind. They're separate games, and PoE is wisely choosing to develop a F2P game since it gives a greater chance of success (gasp! talking about profits!) for a small company. Of course, this thread has shown you to simply ignore any sort of differing opinion, so trying to question your opinion that you present as self-evidenced fact (which it's not) is extremely pointless. But oh well. A final thought is how interesting it is to me how entitled the gaming community seems to think it is to a company's product. And that the product simply MUST be catered to them. EVERY computer game is a luxury item. Period. If you don't like it, don't get it. That's all there is to it. It's no different from any other luxury item. Old Tom Bombadil is a merry fellow,
Bright blue his jacket is, and his boots are yellow. None has ever caught him yet, for Tom, he is the master: His songs are stronger songs, and his feet are faster. |
