Any performance tweaks? Is there a way to lower particle effects?

Most of the time the game runs fine, but sometimes when I run into a shiny rare mob or party with too many people, I get some pretty bad spikes. It's gonna get me killed! :O

There isn't a way to reduce particle effects yet, the only way to do so atm will get you banned.

Settings wise you'll want.

Shadows off.
Post processing off
screen shake off
V sync on
texture quality medium(which dose effect the spells a tiny wee bit)

You can reduce the texture quality lower than medium if you edit the value in the production_Config.ini medium will be 1 lower can be anything from 2-7

Where is production_Config.ini? And, setting texture quality from 2-7 will make textures be lower quality?

You should be able to locate the production_Config.ini file here (just replace USERNAME with your Windows account name):

C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\My Games\Path of Exile\production_Config.ini

and setting the texture_quality value higher will reduce the quality (0 is best quality).
Why does it seems like it doesnt change the graphics AT ALL when i do that ? Please help me. I really wanna play high tier maps & Hardcore , but i cant because of lags.
