Game freezes, while I can still hear in game sound.

Greetings.
The game randomly freezes at some point. It happened on the loading screen, or while I am killing mobs. It is like watching a screen shot, but I can still hear the in game sound - music, ambient sounds like birds, etc. Running on a AMD dual core 2000, and a geforce 8600 GT, and 2GBs of RAM. With almost everything on low at the graphic settings. Set the application on high priority at the task manager, while trying to fix the problem myself. Checked the temperature of the CPU and the video card, but they are normal. I am out of ideas and would love to get this fixed, since the game seems very enjoyable. |

It's entirely possible that the game file has become corrupted, as that can have some strange effects, so I'd try running the Pack Check to see if it finds any corruption. I'd also check you've got the latest drivers for your graphics card. If this still doesn't work, let me know.

same here. i tried running as an admin... my video card driver is updated. i tried uninstalling/installing... it kept freezing while patching....

" What do you mean by "doesn't work"? As in it doesn't run, or as in it runs but finds no problems/corruption? |
