Guild Bank items stolen
Since we don't have any logs i can't exactly figure out who stole EVERYTHING and even wrote
TY in skill gems in the guild bank, anyway a gm could figure it out I locked all of the tabs from everyone so nothing can be moved just so the logs don't change around the bank. Really would appreciate either something happening to the thief(doubt it) or just knowing who is totally fine. |

Always be careful who you give guild stash access to. My guild is of close friends only. For normal friends, there is a friend tab.
That being said, our guild's stash tab has been named "PUT VALUABLES HERE TO BE STOLEN", since its pretty muchunderstood that anything and everything in guild stash, if put there, may be taken without prior notice or confirmation. And as such, everyone asks before taking from the stash. I am sorry for your loss, but if they had permission to take... they had permission to take, no? Like that guy in Sarn says, eggs in one basket, you know the saying. |

" Yes, in the same way that killing one flea off an infested dog also "protects" you. Except it's worse, because at least when you kill the flea you know it won't just create a new account and jump right back on the dog... [Hardcore] Soldiers of the Wasteland - sotwguild.com

" I want to say I am for it.... but the amount of times my group gives and takes would make it an annoying log to parse. Plus invasion of privacy and all that(If they had permission to take, why do you need to know who took what?). I've dealt with the same guild stash problems back in GW2. 100+ man successful wvw guild to co-lead and all that. It only leads to accusations and drama that splits everyone and results in 'theft' anyway. My experiences affect my views on the matter. Last edited by Darxio#3054 on Nov 6, 2013, 3:25:28 PM

" If the entire bank is cleaned like this http://i.imgur.com/kQmbLmk.png?1 with a cocky TY message, it wouldnt exactly be an accusation would it? and it doesn't hurt to have logs. Last edited by Disgracecox#3815 on Nov 6, 2013, 3:26:27 PM

At least they said thank you.
Sorry that happened but if they had approval to remove everything then it wasn't really stealing persay. Just taking advantage of some really nice and trusting people. People like this is why we can't have nice things. “Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.”

" :P well logs are nice things so maybe this can result in getting logs XD thats the best thing i can hope for out of this situation, is that me posting it up helps protect other people or helps catch bank thieves. Like i said, i don't expect ggg to refund stolen stuff but it atleast lets us get who ever did it out of the guild. Last edited by Disgracecox#3815 on Nov 6, 2013, 3:38:46 PM

I stand by my previous posts. I'd rather have less invasion of privacy by non-staff. Nobody needs to know what I am moving, and neither do I need to know what others in my guild are moving, especially when permission was already given.
I cannot judge your guild's leadership outright. But I can suggest that there may be room for improvement in your guild's leadership and management methods to prevent future incidents like this. |

Didn't they patch it today so everyone had access by default? Was that grandfathered in?
