Pain Attunement + Righteous Fire Marauder. Yep thats right :)

Uses fireball spam and righteous fire aura to kill mobs

Picks up all good life + fire damage and burning nodes along with blood magic while also picking up pain attunement without being completely over budget.

I also decided to get the 30% flask increase from the marauder tree because you will need them for righteous fire.
I also picked up the 2 endurance charge nodes for the use of immortal call (maybe?) and just the added survivability.

Now some of you might be wondering about how i will be dealing with chaos damage and fire resist mobs
for the ladder the righteous fire aura deals damage based on 50% of my effective hp and needless to say i have a lot of hp.
so resist mobs should be easy enough, i haven't quite figured out chaos damage lol

Anyways blood magic will keep me below 35% for pain attunement caused by reserved mana from auras.

I have no way of testing this build so it could be completely stupid but thats why i'm here, to see if i can make it plausible in high difficulties
because imo their is very few fire builds out their and even fewer caster builds that utilize righteous fire.

first off you dont have a lot of hp with the nodes u've taken, i have marauder that has all the life ring nodes and golem nodes and some on my items and that only gives about 2000 hp and form what i see that u have u wont get enough to even take blood magic.

what i would do is get the unique helm with the pain attunement on it and then use the nodes that took getting there to get more life. thats just what i see IMO

Yeah, Crown of Thorns would work wonders. I wonder if a Life Leech support gem would work on Righteous Fire. :0
I am fairly certain that increased fire damage will increase the damage of righteous fire, but it will increase both the damage you take, as well as the damage that enemies receive, so there's really no point in investing in fire damage, seeing how you also increase the damage by increasing your health, which also helps you survive.

Also, you'd have to be out of your mind to make a righteous fire build without elemental adaptation.



So yeah. When you make a righteous fire build, you invest in HP and HP regen. Increased fire damage is just going to kill you more quickly.

Righteous Fire does not benefit from fire damage passives and items. It does however benefit from burn damage passives and items. The only problem is it burns you faster as well. I just got done playing with a righteous fire build. I was extremely tanky and could stand in a room with mages and constructs shooting at me without having to worry about using a potion(until I activated Righteous Fire of course). Using Blood Magic with Righteous Fire is problematic at best. You really need to rely on life regeneration to keep you in the fight, but using your life to cast spells just makes it harder for you. If you are going to use Pain Attunement(or Crown of Thorns) you have to keep in mind that it only increases your spell damage, and that being on low life all of the time is very risky. Righteous Fire burn damage isn't considered spell damage(as far as I know). You would benefit better from a helm like Geofri's Crest which gives 15-20% chaos resistance as well as 15-20% of the other resistances. Redbeak works with all damage as far as I know. Also Flammability and Elemental Weakness will reduce the enemies fire resistance and make them take more burn damage(since it is fire damage). I remember reading something about Vulnerability but I'm not sure if its worth using or not. Ah, so that's what it was. Burn damage.



Vulnerability increases damage over time by 40%. Whether that affects righteous fire, I have no idea.



Oh, and another reason you dont use blood magic with righteous fire is that you want to use purity for increased max fire resistances, and you dont want to give up health for that.
