Multiple Computers - Same Account - login issue (not simultaneous logins)

Hello all, I have noted a relatively new issue; logging into the same account, separately, from different computers from different geographical locations causes the account to become locked.

I am NOT logging in on two computers at the same time, I am using my Desktop at home, OR my laptop at work or while traveling.

I am NOT asking to be able to log in with more than one connection on the same account simultaneously.


I am asking for a way to ALLOW, without constant locking of my account requiring a code from my email, me to log in separately on multiple computers with the same account.

The game only recently started behaving this way; I assume it is some sort of security upgrade... unfortunately it is harming legitimate users like myself who have multiple computers that aren't in the same location, triggering the Account Lockdown apparently.

The current setup is just a huge hassle, every time I want to play, I need to get a separate code from my GGG sent to my email and enter that just to start the game. This has only been going on for a week or two at most, and I didn't see any other threads with similar issues, sorry if this is a known problem.

I'll email support, but this is not a bug, as far as I can tell.

GGG seems to have added some more account security, in that it recognizes, flags accounts that get accessed from different IPs/locations, and then immediately locks those accounts.

This did not happen in the beta, or even during the first week or two of release, as far as I can tell. It is a recent problem, nothing has changed on my end.


I am requesting an additional feature, basically, to allow us to enable multiple computers/IPs for one account, so people with multiple machines or who travel don't constantly have their accounts locked. I cannot be the only one with more than one machine.

Yes please. This is very unpleasent, having to use an unlock code once or twice a day!

I too have a similar issue, I have a PC at work and one at home that I log into the game to play (yes, I have a great job), and so I end up having to get a passcode every day or two.

Same situation here (work laptop & home machine with the game) - really annoying.

Some of the other competitors (not naming any names here) don't do it this way. Like a FOB or a yubikey, they have a secondary client or app that generates an auth token that you have to punch in before your password if they flag you as having to go that extra auth method.

But locking or unlocking accounts should be an action probably reserved for other reasons.

I've only ever logged in from the one location, my home PC !! .. what the hell ??? it takes about 10 mins to receive a lock code to my email .... this is BS, hope they change it.

I have this exact same issue, rahter anoying for a oh so awesome game ;)
