2 Hand Cleave/Life Leech build?

This is my first attempt at a build. I just started playing so not really sure what I'm doing yet.

This build is based around a 2 hand sword using cleave/double strike with life leech, high life, evasion/armor/life regen/auras and Vaal Pact.

Skills:

Cleave (for AOE) and Double Strike for single target, linked with Faster Attack, Life Leech, Crit Damage and Crit Chance.

Vitality Aura, Grace Aura, Haste Aura, Purity Aura

Phase Run + Increased Duration

80 Point build grabs lots of +life %, life regen, 2 hand sword damage, vaal pact, blood drinker and as many + armor and resists as possible. It also includes some stun/freeze chance reduction.

Any thoughts on this....any improvements or feedback?

Vaal Pact cancels all life regen so those nodes are useless to you. Armor nodes aren't that great, just rely on granite flasks for physical damage. Also, if you're going to use cleave then you should dual wield 1h as when itemized correctly you can get 5% extra leech.

Yea in hindsight that build was terrible. It was my first attempt. 2 hand cleave just didn't work. I hit 50 last night and am currently running/working toward this (almost there):

I switch between 2 hand mace with sweep for aoe mobs....and sword and board for single target with shieldbash/doublestrike.

Hi guys, may i ask what vaal pact gives exactly in exchange for flask not being effective anymore?
Because the description doesnt tell me much tbh.

It turns your life leech into instant life recovery. In other words....life leech normally works like a heal over time...it takes a while for your HP to regenerate the amount of life you leeched. Vaal Pact makes that happen instant, turning life leech into life on hit so to speak.

I currently have a 2H sword cleave/dual strike thats level 64

I didn't get any armor or evasion nodes, went entirely health so my HP is around 3K and 3.5K DPS that goes up to 7K DPS on diamond flasks for dual strike and about half that for cleave.

I actually find most times its faster to just kill everybody with dual strike one at a time.

HP would be closet to 3.5K but I took kraitlyn reward everytime
