I just wanted to post this and see what all of you think of the new Elder Scrolls that is coming out in November. I think it will be game of the year and stay game of the year for a few years later.

I don't think so.
Oblivion was a revolution, but I still don't see anything in Skyrim that will make it different from a good Oblivion expansion. Which doesn't mean I won't buy the game and gladfully sink in the Skyrim's world, like, forever :) I loved Oblivion. I still miss it. I still miss myself with my sword alone, lost in a hostile yet so beautiful world begging for my cruel influence! Proud Beta tester.

Once Skyrim comes out, I'll be playing it soooo much. Can't wait. Words can't express my excitement. They've apparently revamped a lot of the movements, combat, etc. So it should be far better than Oblivion, which I loved to begin with.

Since Morrowind I've wondered how people can get sucked into a NPC world like that.
Is the AI and storytelling that good nowadays? |

I've played Morrowind and Oblivion for countless hours (seriously, i don't even remember the exact time spent on those games).

Skyrim cannot possibly live up to expectations... the hype is so huge..
I really like the concept of these games though. I really feel like the real 'next gen' RPGs will effectively be living worlds that run themselves with AI, and then just throw you into them to interact with it as it naturally plays out with their radiant AI or whatever it is... This means people in that world would have skyrim jobs... in fact everyone would be giving everyone else skyrim jobs all the time. Sometimes you might get a skyrim job from an interesting woman, or maybe skyrim jobs from dudes if yer into that... or even possibly skyrim jobs from kids! There were no kids in Oblivion world for a famous reason "If something exists, there is porn on it".
Do not expect kids "giving jobs" in Skyrim, as well :) Damn world, I miss children, I miss a possibility to make NPC kids "of my own" (possibly, with a dude, lol). But it won't happen, because of those horny fan modders out there. Oh, but we still could crush some more sculls, and this is what matter! Proud Beta tester.
