Option to disable energy shield visual in the UI

This is not simply a "I don't like the look of it" request; I use a plasma TV as a monitor and image retention is an issue for me. As such, I limit the amount of time I play and make sure to actively protect my screen from it.

Now this may just be my paranoia, but it seems the bright white/light blue from the energy shield visual causes a great deal of burn-in, or at the very least it noticeably shows up more-so than the darker colours do. It may just be me worrying too much but it feels horrible to see the image retention every time I've played for 10 or 20 minutes and feel I have to do something before it becomes a problem, particularly when I only have 3 energy shield due to it being a random mod on my equipment.

So I was wondering if it might be possible to add an option to disable the visual effect.

Anyone know if there's a fix for this? Because my ips screen has image retention problems and the energy shield is the first thing that "burned" into my screen. I'd like to continue playing PoE, but this is a serious issue.
