Why would that change anything. If i can 1 shot everything in a 74 and be faster than a group, then ill also be faster on a 77 map, even if i now need to hit everything twice, which i dont believe to be the case.
I dont even use 5L/6L damage yet. Once i get a hold of that everything will be 1 shot, regardless of level or creature type.

I dont know why the PoE devs jumped the shark with the HP increase for parties in PoE.
One of the reasons why party play was pure shit in diablo 3, is because enemies gained 75% increased life per additional party member.
Mobs that were 1 shot before, werent anymore in a party. Even if the party plays absolutely perfect and attacks every single enemy at the exact same time and thus optimize their damage output, they cant be faster than instagibbing mobs, they can only be slower.

Same shit applies in PoE, just that the devs decided to make it 100% increased life, which is even worse than what d3 had.
If the blizzard devs did one thing correctly in their game, then it is that they realized that party play is pure shit if everything becomes so much tankier, which is why they lowered it to 25% extra health per party member, and to be totally honest, even that fucks party play up.
No, when you're not one shotting everything synergy comes into play. Run in a high level map group with 10 auras, MF culling strike, conduit and a freezer and tell me that isn't more effective than anything you could do solo.

What 4L skill are you using to clear 74 maps in three to four minutes? Discharge?

If you really believe that solo is faster than groups, please go play in one of the races, 1 hour, 3 hour, week, whatever. Please play solo and prove this by beating the groups.

If you can beat a group then I will concede,a nd you will be hailed as correct. Until then this is completely false based on all empirical evidence given by the ladders and races
With this recent change I see no point in grouping past normal. Not because of the increased health but the bonus to item quantity wasn't changed along with the health, what gives? I mean on normal you get 50% more items and they have 50% more health, which makes sense. On the later difficulties their health goes up but the drops don't. It really makes no sense and I really wonder who is in charge of balancing there.

Groups are faster in races because they can split up to do quests.

Also what people commonly misunderstand is that you don't actually get more loot per player in a party. It's a 50% bonus per player but the loot is split among all players so per player you get less.

Nobody claimed that. Groups get more loot PER MAP. Which means they get more loot per currency invested in said map by dividing costs between 6 players. When rerolling maps is important and a heavy currency sink, that 3.5x multiplied loot really adds up.

Yes, but outside of maps playing in groups only has disadvantages other than improving clear speed. And with this nerf to party HP there is pretty much no reason to party outside of mapping unless you are very well organized.
