These disconnections started happening because of network problems caused by Hurricane Sandy last week. We are still working with our server hosts to figure out why these disconnections are still happening.
We also have plans (due prior to open beta) to make the EU servers less dependant on the US servers, so these sorts of connection issues shouldn't have as much of an impact on gameplay if they happen again in future.
In the meantime sorry for the inconvenience, and hopefully we will have these stability issues resolved before long.
