Macros not working?

I just found out today that GGG (at least from what I've heard) allows the use of text macros like /oos, /itemlevel, /remaining, etc. So I went ahead and downloaded AHK and set up a few of those macros. The problem is they don't work in game. I know the macros themselves are working fine cause if I go into a notepad and execute the macro it types everything out but for some reason they don't respond within PoE. Any help would be appreciated.

works fine for me. just dont use ahk.

run ahk as admin. Right click shortcut properties, click compatibility tab and check the run as admin box.
