Sadima's touch wool gloves question
OK I have these with the mod 100% increased energy shield
How does it actually show in the stats without the gloves on I have 227 es the gloves have 10 es as well as the 100% But when I equip them I get an increase of 15 es to 242 It doesnt seem to add up...any thoughts This thread has been automatically archived. Replies are disabled.

I'm pretty sure the 100% increase is applied to the gloves only - as a local mod. The extra 5 ES is probably an increase caused by intelligence or some passives.

with everything removed and just the gloves on, it has 12 es (10 of which is inbuilt for gloves)so no 100% there?
no passives I have would influence this 100% of 10=10 yes so it's not just the gloves I have other armour with 83% increase and I see a massive jump of ES when I equip it, and Ive tried to add gloves as well and nothing more than 14es added |

OK I admit I am lost in the numbers. The gloves would only have 4 ES if there wasn't the mod and no quality. 20% quality makes them 5 ES, +100% ES makes it 10 ES. Basically this mod is pretty useless on such a low tier item.
Perhaps link the items in question so we can look at the numbers (select the character at the bottom of the site when typing a message and click the item you want to link). ✠ ✠

"No, the gloves have 10 ES including their local bonus of 100% ES. The base item for those gloves is Wool Gloves, which only has 4 base energy shield (see here). This is being affected by their quality and the 100% bonus, to get 10. The value 10 is displayed in blue, rather than white to indicate it has been modified and the item's increases to it's ES value have already been applied. "The reason you get more than 10 ES is because the gloves give you 10, and this is affected by all your characters bonuses to ES, including from passives and from intelligence (every 5 int gives 1% increased ES). I can't tell you more without knowing the character build, and all your other items. Last edited by Mark_GGG#0000 on Oct 31, 2012, 7:40:20 PM
