Can we talk frankly about pants?

I for one, hate the look of my character esp if hes wearing chain mail and a helmet or any armor thats shiny because his generic tights/apron with knives stick out like a sore thumb. looks like the worlds most nimble butcher to me. oh, he can do all the killer moves. destroy all the skeletons and bosses and whatnot, but i want him to look cool doing it. i also have a templar and he looks ridiculous, imo.

Dont get me wrong, the game is badasss and im loving it (no complaints), thanks to GGG and everyone who donated to make this game absolutely free for all gamers who love the genre. but i want my character to look like a badass too. some will argue that its nothing and is just a cosmetic issue that doesnt even affect the gameplay. i agree, but what if GGG has plans to put on some pants, (pun intended) and the pants have attributes and sockets as well? that would be cool as we get more powerful characters in the long run. all those against pants, would you still say it aint needed if this happens?

in any event, maybe the armors could adjust to the look based on what character has them? you know, like cloth for mages, leather for shadow, etc. which is a more oldschool but antiquated approach. hopefully in the works, but again a big if.

we play games to entertain ourselves and its a form of escapism. why not escape to the world of wraeclast wearing pants? :) Cheers everybodyI

I enjoy being able to control the look of my characters. If I want a heavy armor witch using infernal blow, I want her to look heavily armored.

As is, I prefer pants on my witch and find the Holy Chainmail + Archon shield look suits my taste.

I hate the appearance of the helmets on the witch/scion, and wear a circlet.

The Templar is rather tall and the Marauder is huge. Pants tend to be uncomfortable when one is above medium-sized, if you know what I mean. As for the witch, I guess she likes it nice and windy down there, and besides, when you are a magic-wielding badass (badbooty?), who needs pants?

On a different and slightly more serious note, as much as seriousness can be had in a discussion about sartorial preferences in a fantasy RPG, the Duelists's red shirt looks abysmal in most armors and is particularly inappropriate with the Bringer of Rain which everyone and their mothers are using nowadays.

p.s. but I guess it solves the problem with all these bloodstains, right?
You have to be realistic about these things.

Hi

I think it very humorous that all the dex related characters have pants, putting pants on is very dexterous affair in wraeclast not for the strong or equally intelligent.

cheers

Gawd yes, the bleeding, feather-capped red shirts are a real blight in every town. GGG, plz sell us a bare-chested MTX at least, well maybe not for the female avatars, but something more hardcore than that fluffy red shirt...
