Weird Error on Stream
Hi, when I click the "Stream" tab, I receive this weird error:
The procedure entry point CreateEventExW could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll Don't know what to do... if you guys can help me... I'm using Windows XP Service Pack 3. P.D.: Sorry for my bad english. |

" Same happens to me on WinXP 64 bit. But I don't care because I don't stream. Not helpful other than confirming there is a problem. |

do you have all the latest windows updates?

I do, but for XP 64 bit Microsoft quit making updates at Service Pack 2.

XP 64-bit is a horrible bastard OS.
Have to either use XP 32-bit or Windows 7 64-bit. If you have the hardware for it, Windows 7 64-bit is the better choice. It could certainly be that XP 64 is not a properly supported OS for streaming on Twitch. Errors like the one presented are usually due to outdated software. |

" Personally, as I said, I don't care that it doesn't work for me. Was just letting the OP and GGG know more than one person has the problem. |

Thanks for the answers.
Yes I have all the updates, including self-updates I made, like Direct X, C++ Redistributable 2005/08/10, all the Net Frameworks, etc. I don't know if I can stream, but with that error, seems like I can't even try :P. |

Based on my research, it seems that the CreateEventExW function is not available prior to Vista. So whatever happened with the Twitch libraries has caused it to not be supported on Windows XP anymore (or that's how it seems).
Guess if you want to stream, you'll have to upgrade to at least Vista (preferably Windows 7). |
