Legacy Uniques Compromise

1. Leave uniques as legacy
2. New drops of the unique are nerfed to be balanced
3. Greatly increase drop rates of the unique

People with legacy item = happy
People without item = happy because now they can at least have it (even if its less powerful)
Everyone = happy

EDIT: Magnetic_n0rth made a suggestion to make all legacy uniques Bound to Account which would be a very good alternative imo.

i have to say wich part makes people without it happy, the only way to make those player happy is to make some more intressing stuffs in new Leagues ;)

in this case it isnt balancing it actually make the item "OP" ;), from being a item everyone can get to a item who turns OP.

but im 1 of those who will not playing on sc/hc perm Leagues

no lol, I don't want my new Kaom to be a lesser version than Legacy Kaom. Not happy.

I say, we downgrade and balance all the Kaom and then it's fair and everyone is happy.

Everyone happy? You must be new here.

Then people with legacy kaoms aren't happy because their item got nerfed..

Your rare gear is 99% certain to be "lesser version" of the top gear already. How is this any different than that?
Legacy silverbranch - not that significant.
Legacy onyx amulets - not that significant.
Legacy Kaom's Heart - WTS for 300ex.

This is why they need to nerf all Kaom's. You can't just grandfather someone into an item that quadruples in value over a fucking nerf because it turns into a legacy item.

that means more of a fair judgement from the GGG team if they did, but somehow i Heard they choose to not balance the old uniques just the new ones.

Still i Think they shoulda Think about the consequenses about this, it might hurt the new people and old people who dont got it alot, after all it become expensiver each day further ahead if it proves to be right they didnt balance those "OP" items.
Standard and Hardcore will be like a
at 1.0.0 launch anyway. So legacy Kaoms will be relatively irrelevant to most people then
Return to this flameless sunder
Where exiles burn and the joyless wander;
Frozen lore beneath chaotic thunder,
Dominus returns to send us under.
If you make and leave legacy items you have to bind that legacy to the account of the one in position.

Actually that isn't a bad way to handle it. It would keep legacy kaom's out of the hands of RMTers.
