Its easier to just put points into Chaos Innoculation (1 life, more ES), Eldritch Battery (All ES-> Mana), Blood Magic (No mana)

nothing , its reduced not less so your hp nodes will "counter it" , if u take no life nodes in the other hand :P who knows

I suspect they very deliberately made it so you CAN'T do this with equipment alone since there would be no way to fix it. You'd basically have to contact support and hope that THEY have some way to do something like remove a piece of gear without logging in to the character. Of not, then they'd have to patch something in to allow them to fix it and obviously they don't want to go there ;)

you CAN do it. He used Carnage heart. Chayula gives 30% reduced life. It doesn't matter though, the way the subtractions work it wouldn't put you at zero or 1 life.
