The Blood Dance Sharkskin Boots - Perfect Example of What a Unique Should Be

These finally dropped for me and these babies aren't GG Soul Taker/Shavronne's but at the same time they aren't full retard the way these are.


They are level 40 requirement not too long of a wait like say Rebuke of Vaal and you also don't get them too soon either so they are therefore allowed to be powerful.

These shoes have a niche power that is potent and also measured. But the power is also very flexible across multiple types of characters. I haven't been so excited to get a unique drop as this one...ever. Yes I even got a Lioneyes and a Taryn's Shiver, 2 end game GG items but what do they do? They add damage.

What does The Blood Dance Sharkskin Boot do, a whole heck of a lot more than that. You can build SEVERAL VERY DIFFERENT characters around these boots alone. These, in my opinion are what every unique should strive to be.

Sharkskin Boots, exceptionally made. Kudos to the designer. If it was a supporter you aught to consider allowing them to design some more.

Yes they are very well made,you are basically "exchanging" attack speed for life regen with your frenzy charges.

Unfortunately they reveal a very serious issue with the Shadow and Ranger classes : next to no life regen from the passive tree. Heart of Oak node and thats it.
This explains why many people avoid the Shadow class since you have both mana and hp issues early-mid game.

And this makes the boots a necessity if you want to go life melee as either class imo.

My Blood Dance is gathering dust is stash. Not much use for boots without life and resist.

Zahndethus' Cassock is immediately vendored... on this level still beaten up by Foxshade for melee/rangers or something with HP for caster...

but these boots aren't just for shadow/ranger, they are for everyone =p

I have a righteous fire templar who is gonna LOVE these. His energy shield regen might double! it's gonna be crazy.

But for now I'm using it for a flicker strike duelist who will no longer have to use blood frenzy or frenzy - which is important because I want him to use this and now I can, without having to resort to CI. That is huge. That's such a big deal.

and I'm guessing there are so many other things you can do with these bad boys discharge and the whole lot

Completely agree with blood dance, incredible boots.

These boots aren't 'a great design', they're just incredibly powerful and relatively easy to obtain.

If Shavronne's was as easy to find as these boots, level ~40 req (and less ES), but otherwise did the same thing it does now, then it wouldn't be any more powerful or build-enabling than these boots. Same for Soul taker if it has less dps, lvl ~50 req, and was more obtainable.

i understand where the supporter who made them was coming from .it is a decent and balanced item .

now that i have been polite and nice and all . i will not ever touch an evasion unique/item that does not have 70+HP or equivalent ES. evasion builds are notoriously bad and easy to die with the 2500hp they manage to have . these boots , the crappy and alpha howl (which otherwise rocks and would be too good with hp) certainly do not help evasion-builds survive
