why force the player to play in groups? (yes, another aura thread)

i really don't understand it why GGG feels the need to force the player into groups - they should know that the majority of the player base prefers solo play for most of their playing time
so why make this aura change?
i can't think of any reasonable argument for that :(
Because they like to laugh with the forums, i'm pretty sure they are all sitting behind one desktop now with a piece of cake laughing there asses off.

Spoiler
also mass aura's was never an intended design

As a solo player, I'm pretty sure that we are not majority.

Game is already 10x harder soloing, currency and danger wise, and they went ahead and buff the parties so they can faceroll even more, i tought GGG didnt want people facerolling the content. First the IIQ change, now the auras, they want the 1% of streamers and their friends to be alone on the top.(You can see in all streams the same dudes r there, same mumble and stuff too)
i also like to play solo much more than in the group.
and the main reason is that in group even with 2+ ppl i don't see anything but spells and loot -- all the screen.

p.s.: couple of hours ago was playing in the group on merc ledge, there was 5 of us. in some huge pack we was all hitting our "fire" buttons and running like crazy about 30 secs until understood what constantly hited one of us for about 30% of the life bar -- the exile. Half of a minute we need to get this and focus him among the mess of spells and loot.

Devils Advocat would say: "its easier to sell cosmetics when players are forced to play in groups and to show off their microtransaction stuff..."

But meh i dont want to believe that, the solo buff will come...atleast in 4 month ;P

And to those who say "you have to socialise and organize PartyPlay, that should get a reward"...thats BS because this is the usual pug socialising/organisation:

People join the group->sometimes someone say:"hi"->leader posts map->sometimes someone says:"kk"->people are leaving

so yeah poe is still in development, Party play is a lot more effective atm and it gets a buff with this aura nerf ;P

And what exactly prevents you from playing in a group ore gathering some like minded people to play with?

I never understood this argument.

(and yes i also play solo a lot, but i don't mind partying if the people are chill)

As a semi-solo player, I love this change. Aura choice will finally feel meaning-full. Thanks GGG <3

Cheers

Because this is a multiplayer game...
Because quite obviously this is a MMORPG where you have to be forced to play with a bunch of morons because the developers want everyone to have as shitty a gameplay experience as possible.

That's a rant about pugs btw, not about playing with people you know. Back when I used to play Sacred 1 & 2 for many years, I always played solo, even though the forum communities for those games set up many multiplayer lobbies with decent people playing together, I just never have had any interest in playing with others unless its PVP (which is also shit in this game, the only PVP I've enjoyed was GW1).

Just because a game like this has to be played online doesn't mean that they should be balanced to only allow party play while making solo play worse.

One of the biggest reasons why a lot of MMORPGs end up with no players is because A) The solo experience sucks / is non existent, and B) The online community in EVERY online game sucks beyond disbelief, playing with other people is nowhere near as good as it is always hyped up to be, its possibly the single worst aspect of the MMORPG genre.

And before people start crying that this isn't a MMORPG, IMO MMORPG are games where you have to play with others/ in a group, OR where by not doing so you are at a significant disadvantage as is the case in PoE.
