Game start up speed

Hello,

The problem i have is regarding the time needed for the game to start up.
Not any other game i have installed on my pc has anything of a similar problem to the one with path of exile.
The time needed for my pc to start up path of exile is 5-10 minutes while clients starts up immediately.

Is this solvable by my actions, if yes, then how?
Has anyone experienced the same problem?

thank you for your time.

If you have enough RAM a RAMDisk is the way to go.

Search around on the forums, there's a few guides floating around how to do it.
If you have the cash, buy a SSD.
OP have you looked at the size of the file it is loading? Ya it is going to take a while.
Crafting doesn't exist in POE. Gambling does...and the house always wins.

Velocireptile - I LOL'ed. Which made me fart. I wish the office were empty right now :(

Hardlicker - I had to push the dog out of the way so I could get to the sexy quilt.
--nopreload key can help. https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/321900
Dunno if they keep this key after release.
Takes ages for me aswell and I have 4GB RAM. All other games, games that has way higher req. than POE - loads ALOT faster. So I have no clue what it is with POE startup that takes so long.
Tried Ramdisk, but doesn't help me at all, i hope GGG will implement a beautiful loading screen, because watching that black one for 1 minute is boring :P
"I'm programmed to say something that is kind and uplifting at this point, but there is apparently an error that is working in my favor."
GGG still has quite a bit of optimization in this regard.

They're still currently downsizing the existing resources, so I doubt they'll minimize the preloading time 'til that's improved to an ideal size.
I have a similar problem, except it's only a minute or so. As others have said, if it bothers you, pick up a Solid State hard drive.
Stormcalling 24/7.
Get the SSD as guys say. Not only for the game but for your operating system and programs too. Man, you will never look back.
I AM MAD
ZAP!ZAP!ZAP! ME SOOO WIZZARD!
