" OBX is a segment of an HL7 message(http://www.hl7.org). HL7 being an international ISO standard for how electronic healthcare information is sent and received by medical applications - it's been around since the late 80's if my memory serves me correctly. The OBX stands for Observation, which would be an observation based on a test or an order placed on a patient - such as a dictation of a radiology image by a radiologist. For this instance, I'm taking raw data received by laboratory analyzers and constructing a standard HL7 message for a clinical application to receive based on what the analyzers have determined in it's testing. This is what the end result will basically look like, give or take the differences in the clinical applications standards

Jesus. Has no one ever heard of actual data structures? How old is this stuff? Or is it a bureaucratic requirement that the transformation go through this GUI? Overall, I'd rate this Windows/10, and then would kill myself. |
