any use for heatshiver and nycta' lantern?

one this is for sure. a nyctas EK is stronger than a 4L EK. so it is a great budget choice for an EK build

Except that I wanted to use it so I built an EVA discharger for it, +2 levels is useful, shadow can certainly use 60% mana regen and he can live with -10% fire and ice. Yeah, I should probably run an orphanage.

It's not so bad for low-level casters, but then you can use and that's just plain better for a low-level caster.

There are dischargers and there are dischargers.

EK + Iron Will + Faster Projectiles in Nycta's Lantern.

I'm still using it at level 67 and having zero problems clearing maps of my level.

I also run EB, Mind over Matter, and Arctic Armour with Grace, Purity, Hatred and Clarity.

It's a solid item for sure.

Heatshiver could also be used for +2 levels to Elemental Hit.

I'm currently using it in Act 3 Normal with a tanky sword & shield character (Scion & Duelist areas) and it's nice. Have enough fire & cold resist above the limit that the penalty isn't hurting me. +1 to Arctic Armour & Molten Shell and the large mana regen boost are all fun. Planning on going Mind over Matter at some point so I might keep it for a while since it's one of the only helms with significant mana regen potential (Mind Spiral being the other one since it has a huge +Mana bonus & you gain mana as you get hit, but not being able to leech mana is a big penalty).
