The most overpowered class/skill/passive combination.

So, I'm fairly new to PoE. I've made a ice witch and played with to the end of merciless. Problem is, I felt it was, as most generic spellcaster class/builds on RPGs are, too weak. So I went to the forum and looked at each of the six class discussion threads and saw a lot of misgiving and work-on-progress information. Of course, we're still in beta, after all.

The thing is, I have a hard-on for overpowered builds. I wasn't always like that, but a few years ago I just realized that you'll have more fun being that jerk with the overpowered monster-stomper character than being that guy with the mediocre build that he made all by himself. Hate me if you must, but I'm not here to fill your heart with rage.

I just want a thread with discussions about the most overpowered combinations of class/skills/passives that you, your friend or a guy you saw livestreaming manage to build. I've seen the build of the week videos, by the way, but those builds looked more creative and different than overpower.

Oh, and let us not forget PvP. Builds that focus on that would be nice to discuss and learn about, too.

If the game is, as I'm starting to believe, so balanced that overpower is not even an option, I'll just go back to plain "follow my nose" builds.

I believe I can safely say that the majority of "Overpowered" builds will involve high amounts of critical multiplier. Even your cold witch will instantly go from too weak to too strong with a few good multiplier items because of how ice spear works.

However being overpowered comes at a price and that price is mobs who reflect damage.

It's a crit ice witch. I believe that's what you're looking for.

Yah, as SL4Y3R was saying a high crit ice witch is insanely fun. Mobs start popping like popcorn as they shatter.

A minion build is also very powerful from what I hear, though haven't tried it yet myself.

Freezing Pulse instead of Ice Spear with crit? You'll laugh at mobs as you kill in 1-2 casts. At 4 casts a second.

I just 1 shot everything on everything with diamond flasks

This. If the devs don't do something about freezing pulse, it will prove their undying devotion to witches.

I'd say an ice crit witch with freezing pulse, ice spear totems, and diamond flasks.

They've already stated they're not taking our crit away....

4casts/sec is not easy to reach either.

I still think the scaling of ES is where the problem lies.
