LF formula to calculate mana regeneration.

Anyone has an excel formula that calculates mana regeneration in detail?

Does %+mana regen affects clarity or is added additively?
Does %+mana regen is calculated on your max mana or your base mana (with out items)?

My witch has 995 mana (with no items) and 80% mana regen from skills. The mana per second i get is 31.4.

80% of 995 is not 31.4

How the hell the formula works, i cant figure it out.

Basically how much mana I need to get 110 mana regen per second with 80% mana regen?

I just learnt about mana regen myself a while ago.

All classes have a base mana regeneration rate of 1.75% of their maximum mana per second, or equivalently, 105% per minute.

%+ mana regen affects clarity, and the base mana regeneration rate by a percentage.

With 995 mana, we have 17.4215 mana regen per second (995 * 1.75 / 100). This base regeneration is 100%, but we have 180% total mana regeneration from skills, so we have 17.4215 x 1.80. This equals 31.3425 or your 31.4 mana regen.

To get 110 mana regeneration per second, whilst maintaining 80% mana regeneration, we need either clarity to boost mana regeneration, or more max mana. As I do not know what level clarity you are using, I am going to base it off boosting your max mana.

( X * 1.75 / 100)*1.8 = 110. Therefore, you need approximately 3492 max mana pool with 80% mana regeneration from skills to have 110 mana regeneration per second.

Might want to consider getting one of these

Pretty helpful for the mana regen boost and just all around laziness to fulfill gem requirements.

So the formula is

( max mana * 1.75 / 100) * total mana regen = mana per second

What does the "100" stands for?

Very useful info, thanks man

This is the excel formula i created.
A2 = total mana
B2 = total %+ mana regen
"
=SUM((A2*1.75/100)*(100+B2)/100)

formula goes in D3

How does exactly mana regen effects clarity?
Whats the math behind that?

the "/100" is because its a percent.
and clarity is additive, your "increased mana regen" affects it directly and separately. then that resulting number adds to your normal one.
(.0175 • max mana) + clarity bonus = X (multiply clarity by 1.21 if you have inner force, but only the clarity bonus by itself).

X • passive mana regen = Y
Y • mana regen from gear = total mana regen.

Notice that passive and gear regen scale multiplicatively with one another, so having a good amount of both will net you better results than just a lot of one.

when did mana from gear work multiplicatively from regen from passives?

Since always.
