Decoded no data, .ogg error when zoning

actually, it is historically proven that hardware is created because of changes in software. software, specifically PC games, drive hardware innovation. More software using ogg will mean that hardware will have to innovate to support it.
I have finished the game 3 times on all difficulties almost without any problems. Problems have only appeared later in laboratory (every time). The card is able to play OGG files, problem will be somewhere else.
BTW, ability to play OGG files is given by software (drivers), not the hardware. Onboard sound cards are almost completely software solutions.

In the case of dedicated sound cards, audio processing and transcoding is mainly done in the hardware layer. That is what makes dedicated sound cards better. They free up CPU resources to process other things. The issue is the codec and the transcoding abilities of their drivers and firmware.

But your statements contradict themselves. Onboard soundcards (built into the motherboard) ARE completely software (other than CPU cycles to process the software). Are you confusing "onboard" or "integrated" to "dedicated"?
sorry to bump an old thread but I'm having this problem and it's extremely frustrating. I can't enter the sewers, the crematorium (sometimes). it's strange because it's not everytime and also it -never- happened before the last couple of weeks.

drivers are up to date but the game is unplayable which needless to say sucks since I want to play pretty bad right now.

did anyone find a solution?

edit - -swa works via steam too! thanks for the thread.

the Launch Parameters for Path of Exile.
1. I have never had crashes with Path Of Exile.
2. Updated the game
3. Started having crashes
4. Yes i have a Creative X-fi
5. Ogg files play flawlesly when i play them with another player.
6. Please, fix the game!
Right click the game in Steam, open Properties
IS THIS CORRECT FOR NON STEAM VERSION?

I am complexity
No.

All you did was rename the PathOfExile.exe.

What you need to do is right-click on the SHORTCUT linking to Path of Exile (on your desktop or Start Menu) and click Properties. In that window should be a line that says Target:. Click on that, press the END key (or go to the end of the line) and type -swa with a space before it. It should make your Target: line look something like this:

Target: "C:\Program Files\Grinding Gear Games\Path of Exile\PathOfExile.exe" -swa

Then it should work.
