How do you manage the loot clutter onscreen?

This is a genuinely curious Q.

How do you deal with the loot which fills up 99% of your screen, in parties, especially if there is a high IIR/Q Culler? If I have the item display toggled on, I can barely see anything else - while rares/uniques are easy enough to spot, currency items or 6L White Items, or maps (I know they have a border around their name - but still hard for me atleast to notice) are practically impossible for me.

Do you folks keep it toggled off and toggle it on (Z) to quick scan, then off again (so you can actually see mobs/anything else other than screen full of text of white items etc)?

Or it is not an issue for most, and just for aging gamers (40+) like me? I posted in the suggestion forum for a possible loot display filter (or diff colors for currency items and maps) - but thought would ask here too.

Thanks
I don't party with lootspammers. Simple.
Work alt with my thumb scanning for drops. Used to it from D2.

I rarely join large parties - my laptop struggles, especially if there are summoners etc - and I tried that alt scanning also - my vision swam after a few scans. That, and of course, I was standing while laboriously scanning items, while rest of the party had moved on to 2+ screensaway (never mind that I have to point out map drops, orb drops, 6Ls which were missed by others who had moved on, who will then come back, and loot them).

I guess solo play is the way to go for me - with my abysmal IIR/Q (100/12 or something now), I run no risk of getting loot clutter solo :D)
The loot display definitely needs some improvements.
The font used displays the loot in all-capital (even if the first letters are bigger).

It's probably inspired by the good old D2 loot display (on a 800x600 screen at best, that could explain the "all caps" choice).

For now, in a permanent allocation parties, I just focus on the mobs and then take some time with the display switched on and off using the "always highligh" shortcut - more rarely, I use Alt.

I think GGG could use different font sizes and/or enriched tootips/boxes (like a simpler version of the monsters names display).
At least, the drops sounds provide a very useful and keen information about what is important.

Anyway, having 99% of the screen full of loot is not the normal/intended behavior ;)

Spoiler

I pockerface it.
Put on your red shoes and dance the blues.
I play at resolution 1366x768 (recommended for my laptop), so keeping same for the game - I read somewhere that keeping desktop and POE resolution the same improves performance?

would lowering the resolution in POE (to be different that my desktop resolution) affect FPS etc? I play full-screen.

Thanks
