I think you should try to do some races.

Speaks volumes that the game fails to keep people interested to be honest. A game shouldn't feel boring, it shouldn't feel like a second job. It shouldn't feel like only no-lifers can enjoy it.

Of certain things that are constantly repeated such as gaming, you should take a break at certain intervals. none of my activities I can enjoy constantly.

Take a break from PoE for one or two Months and do something else.

Hmmm... I was getting bored as well. Then i put a Facebreaker and a Menigord's on a Marauder, slotted infernal blow and dominating blow (this one's brilliant for reflect mobs. Single target him to your side and the tables turn). Made my own little build for it and commenced slaughtering solo. All other items on him are either found or crafted, which gives it's own set of challenges. It's so much fun seeing stuff explode all over the place, turning rare monsters over to your side, etc :D

I'm at merciless act 1 and tearing through with these mediocre items:

And since you don't need to focus so much on gear when levelling (those four starter uniques give it a fairly solid base, warlord's mark is very effective at leeching and giving end charges when you one-shot almost everything, so I don't really have a need yet to incorporate the hell that is enduring cry) there's not much issues progressing. Haven't hit a wall yet (this might change, but there's lots of room for improvement, so it shouldn't be too hard to work around.)

simple, effective, sometimes challenging, most of the time quite OP and most importantly: fun.

Like many people say here: stop looking for epic uber drops and just play it the way it feels most fun. Getting a good drop is extremely unlikely, 0,001% is prolly exaggerating and the IIQ/IIR does really nothing to such numbers. IIR/IIQ only makes you spend all your wisdom to ID crap rares and waste all portal scrolls to run to vendors to sell the crap rares.

Play the game the fun way (try different builds; build around items, build arounds certain spells) and while having fun you'll eventually run into good drops aswell.

Just my 2 cents

Now that you have your farm character, you can experiment with other builds.

did you reached lv 100 every class/league... :) (remember: if you reach lv100 every class ggg fans will give you as much currency as you can eat :))

try this, or buy more stash tabs become the biggest shop in poe

or buy 6ls day by day and vendor it :)

or collect exalts and donate them to me :)

or farming, or farming...



at last

wait for the full release of the game maybe you will not get bored anyway :)

lets assume you play anarchy/standard

now lets assume 1 ex= 100 fuse (i have no idea how the sc ratio is)
now lets assume the payout of a normal lottery is 10ex

so basicly you invested 10ex to win 10 ex

you must be a hell of a buisness man in real life :)

I personally have 4 characters, 1 sporker, 1 ground slam mara, one physical bow ranger and one summoner.

Well guess what? I am kinda forced of farming because I am stuck in a position where I dont have the money to buy better stuff for any of my chartacters (I dont have a Lioneye, a Marohi or a Shavronne either on any of them).

I could say : lets try my luck on the 5 Link lottery but after having spending way more fuses on items that what they actually worth already linked I am reluctent to do so.

So yes I could start a new character that will get stuck in the same position in a few days or I can farm my ass off again, quite a limiting choice IMHO.

So yes I feel you OP, no matter what fanboys are saying and no matter how much I do love this game, it relies way too much on luck to be enjoyable on the long run, if you spend a month without luck there are big chances you will just quit.
