Why do you choose to play a Shadow?

Because Dagger CI/GR with Flicker Strike, Whirling Blades, and Phase Run makes me feel like Nightcrawler.

What's better than being able to cast magic spells while dealing close range damage at monsters. Pretty much tell those mobs "In Your Face"

I was a duelist forever... but with this new class, I immediately grabbed it up because the guy just looks cool and has a great personality.
The skill tree offers a lot of free to where I can make him a fast attacking assassin type, a magical ranged artist, or a melee dps/tank type. The freedom is great. Join the Veterans of War! See the thread in Off-topic for details.

The easy access to increased critical chance and multiplier nodes, the starting location lets you easily dip into witch or ranger, and you can focus on ES if you don't like evasion.
I be that potion mixin', spell castin', dragon ridin' wizard. Got a 3 foot hat with a 6 foot beard, and it's only gettin' bigger. Put a staff up in my hand, and I'll shrink you down to size. All I need is a tail of a newt and some platypus eyes. Last edited by WizardLife#1738 on Oct 12, 2012, 11:18:11 PM

I liked the idea of a magical assassin, being able to kill guys quickly with dual weapons and spells. My first build focused on crit, which was very fun. Since then I've always considered Shadows my favorite class.

First I was very skeptical about its potential when the shadow was introduced as the 6th class;
now I try to make the best from the options he offers between intelligence (for mana) and dexterity (for traps, as example) - and starting to like it... ^^ For me, shadow and templar offer better access to mana control, combined with the potential of strength resp. dex. invited by timer @ 10.12.2011 -- deutsche Community: www.exiled.eu & ts.exiled.eu Last edited by Mr_Cee#0334 on Oct 15, 2012, 10:07:55 AM
