Elemental equilibrium stack?
" Only one instance of EE can be active at a time, you will only overwrite one another (and in this case piss each other off as you use the same element). You can use EE to great effect in parties, it only has to be a permanent arrangement, it's hard to match with random members. A good example: One player has equilibrium and uses a flame totem purely as a debuff skill, not as a main damage source (possibly has blind on it too as an ultimate debuffing device). As flame totem is the fastest hitting skill in the game it keeps enemies permanently weak to lightning and cold, both players use spork. They hit fast and debuff to fire and cold but flame totem hits even faster so it doesn't really matter. That's the setup you should aim for, if both players debuff it's very hard to match skills, perhaps firestorm and spork. Or this, one player has an LMP freezing pulse totem, again, it does crap damage and is used purely to debuff. Also uses fire traps supported for ignite, once they ignite and the enemies stand in fire it's enough for them to get hit only once with FP to see the health plummet, doesn't matter FP hits slower, one hit after igniting is enough. The other player is a facebreaker with splash infernal blow, he does many hits when a group explodes but it doesn't matter, he doesn't have EE so he can't overwrite it but he still takes full advantage of it. " What about them? EE applies on 'hit with elemental damage', elemental effect isn't damage itself. DoT is a degeneration effect, it doesn't hit (doesn't do damage ticks) so it can't apply EE. If you did apply EE with one element and hit with another, elemental effects made with that element will be stronger because you did more damage. EE is just a very flexible elemental weakness curse enemies can't be immune to. It needs some fiddling, yes, but it's worth it. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

Sorry to necro this thread, but I couldn't find the answer. But maybe that's because the answer it too obvious...
Does EE stack with Elemental Weakness or Flammability Curses? I ask this because I noticed these scenarios: A) I cast Arctic Breath, the monster gets the 'Vulnerable to Fire' debuff. I then cast Elemental Weakness, the monster gets the 'Vulnerable to Elemental damage' debuff. B) Vice versa. While scenario A sounds logical, i.e. first -50% fire res, then -x% all res, but the B scenario sounds strange to me. Any explanation? Thanks in advance :) |

Everything stacks and there is no negative resistance cap
cast flammability (-40% to fire) -40% resist fire cast elemental weakness (-30% resist all) -70% res fire, -30% res cold, -30% res lightning hit an enemy with some cold damage if using EE (-50% fire, +25% cold, -50% lightning) -120% res fire, -5% res cold, -80% res lightning Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs. ◄[www.moddb.com/mods/balancedux]► ◄[www.moddb.com/mods/one-vision1]► Last edited by raics#7540 on Nov 25, 2013, 6:25:01 AM
