Why the sudden price increase on Kaoms?(standard)

The amount of currency flooding into standard when anarchy ends will likely double the cost of all items.

Trade. Hell, most the people I know don't even bother playing the game itself anymore, all they do is flip items and at the end of the day sit and gaze at the stash of exalted orbs while stroking their ego. (or, if you're a true scumbag, re-sell the profits on a website for real money!)

You are referring to 'purchasing power'... my purchasing power is actually up 200 - 300% vs most items in game now. I actually didn't lose money because I can buy a 6L for 50 - 75% off. Case in point: Taryn's Shiver 6L has been sold as low as 10 exalts, and I also saw a 6L Glare sell for 17-20 for a 6L with nice rolls. BTW: Your statement is true for the majority of the population, but there are players like me that didn't buy items at rates that would coincide with this logic. I just thought I'd elaborate so that I don't come off being snide. I am basically agreeing but disagreeing with you at the same time (it's all circumstantial).

People are anticipating a life buff for release. Most builds are es now and they are pro diversity. Also, less people are playing and bots are getting busted. No kaom's in onslaught and its ending. Supply and demand. I can't imagine they will nerf es again instead of buffing life but then again maybe Jay Wilson got a job here. Calling standard price at 45 exalt peak.
