Tabula Rasa suggestions??

Just picked up a Tabula Rasa and was wondering what the best way is to use it. Is it viable in end game since you give up so much defense when using it??

Does anyone have a high level character using it?
If so could you post some details. Thanks

It is interesting to try out some weird stuff. I guess most people use it to see how certain combinations of gems work out in the end.

The best suggestion to actually use it in the end game i've heard would be summoner - since you want different supports for different types of spectres. So you can on the fly switch your support gem setup to always have the best available combo for the type of spectre you decide to summon.
And i guess a summoner can live with the loss of defense easier than other builds.

EDIT: disclaimer - i've never tried it though, only read some discussions on the forums

Last map done was a mazed Shrine with a party, skipped Piety, didn't really care about the mods, only know it wasn't ele reflect.

Last solo map was, oh, ages ago. Temple. Don't remember mods. Skipped Piety, wrecked everything else.

I saw a suggestion on shapeshifting gems somewhere. Gems would give your shapes base stats, like attack and defense, taking just mods and sockets from gear (not inherent ones). Guess tabula would sort of work then until you get a decent 5 or 6 link.

Is my kit on a level 81 duelist atm. Using cyclone. Still have 22k armour cause of passives and grace/determination.

I'm only using 4 of the 6 links for damage stuff though.. I have item rarity and quantity gems on.

Also any other 6L with the right colours would of course be better.. I just dont have any yet.

I use my on almost every new character I roll, and it usually does the job fine until I equip my endgame chest around level 60+.
The main exception being facebreaker builds, where I use followed by for obvious reasons.

I used it for my lvl 83 duelist. All survivability came from auras (alpha's howl) and my only attack, 9+ APS LS (20% for pierce chance) with RT and LoH. Only things that could kill me were lag/desync (not enough leech) or chaos damage.

So, i'd say this chest is a cheap option for "offense is your best defense"-builds, that depend on killing everything before it can reach/attack you.

However, it will always be a bit of a glass-cannon.

The build that can make the most out of it at all levels is summoner. It makes it extremely easy to snapshot different specters/zombies and not have to worry about your main armor and what colors it has.
