Physical Damage Aura?

Hmm, I don't agree about physical aura. If one existed, it would have to be stronger bonus than the elemental ones to compensate for no elemental status effect. Then it would become very popular because more dps is so attactive.

The OP mentioned a gaping whole in the skill gems... if there's one gaping hole for me, it's the lack of an equivalent to Heavy Strike for archers. A pure physical damage single target bow/ranged skill.
Hatred doesn't count as physical (even though it is a flat increase) for the simple reason that it doesn't add more physical damage that can then be converted into (fire via Added Fire Damage, lightning via Lightning Strike, etc).

A physical damage bonus for most physical-based characters would be an absolute requirement because would effectively boost ALL of your damage by its %. (This is probably the reason it doesn't exist)
Well there is a physical damage aura. In fact there are two, but they only appear on rare monsters.
And here I was thinking the OP was talking about a physical damage reflection aura ala Thorns, or possibly a physical damage over time aura (since we don't have the enemy's degen aura yet), or possibly even a Physical Damage Reduction aura (which we already have as Determination).

We don't need more "big numbers", we need more "new numbers".





(Also I hate Hatred because it's impossible to build a purely non-elemental character without gimping yourself.)
