Need Some Bloody Gore!
" We need Abominations and Demons as minions. Those skellies and zombies are just too generic! My little tribute to Diablo 1 aka why Diablo 3 is the worst part of the series.

i personally would like if there would be some animation of some mobs when u enter an area or new room
for excample a monster eating dead bodys when u enter the area they stop biting in the corpse and go fight for you i also rly like the pictures posted from diablo 2 the torture ones good idea !!! or possible that you sometimes see an npc exile which get attacked when u enter a room and screems and get killed infron of your eyes till the mobs reaches you attack radius and go after you. so that not all mobs just standing arround when u enter somewhere and actually doing smth |

once i have read that ggg brig out a gore pack
i would rly like to have included in the gore pack a lot of new death animations here just some excamples. so throw on maya 3ds studio max or whatever you guys use and make us happy that we all want to buy the here some more ideads for the gore pack i already posted before i have seen that there is a thread about gore !!!!!!!! -exploding arrows which let the target exploade in pieces -blood on the floor (blood pools) should cause bloody footsteps -that u randomly cut off an arm leg or head when u hit a mob with ur meelee weapon -after mobs got in a fire trap that they are burned black - cleave sould cut the enemys in 2 pieces if u kill mobs with it -a 2 handed mace should crash the skulls of the enemys (and not that the whole body is exploading in pieces) - explosion traps should disamble body parts too and you should see them flying vertical in the air getting bigger that you have the feeling they are flying out of your monitor if you play it on a 3d monior suggerstions from other guys in my old thread now we have an animation forum so i thought i will post this in that one -Fast sword, dagger or claw punctior attack, Should look like there machine gunned, -Electricity can actualy fry, and i wanna see a skelleton. -Frost freezes, Like in crusader no regret (old but awsome dos action game) -Fire, can actualy make em run in terror as they die, Again i reffer to crusader no reget for this flame death. -I'd like to see a "Dead Baby Quantity" increase in "More Gore" too -Intense heat (cremation, for example) can cause the skull to literally explode. Nice effect for fire attack kills. =^[.]^= |

Just a quick chime-in as long as we are on the topic of gorn, chunky salsa and other acts of video game cruelty: I enjoy a few dismembered limbs as much as the next man (as long as it is not Dr Lecter), as long as they're not self-serving.
But please do keep one thing in mind: There are countries where violence can lead to video games being banned rather quickly, two of which would be Australia and Germany. And if you take a look at Valve games, you know what I am getting at: If you want the 'uncesnored' versions of their games in Germany, you can get them one way only: Import them via other countries (UK and Austria, for example). If you try to get them via Steam, you WILL get the cut version. To give you an example of cut content in German versions: - Every human enemy in Half-Life has been traded for a robot. If you shoot them, they lose screws. You also can't kill NPCs any more. There are no gibs (aside from those screws). In multiplayer mods (such as the original Team Fortress Classic), all players would use the same model, making recognizing classes by their model impossible. - In L4D(2), zombies can't be dismembered or (graphically) harmed in ANY way. If you shoot them with the strongest rifle, all you see is a bit of blood, while the zombie vanishes in thin air before he even hits the ground. This also means that you can't set zombies (or survivors) visibly on fire. Oh, and blood decals are black. And you can't get 'blood on your screen'. That's just two quick examples - in both cases, the censorship takes away a big chunk of the atmosphere, and frankly, most people in Germany (probably Australia, too), try to get their hands on import versions, even if they're vastly more expensive. Why do I preach all that? Because the more you up the gore level in PoE, the more likely our 'bureau for censorship' WILL take a stand against PoE, making it more difficult for GGG to market the game here - and much more difficult for players to even play it. 12/12/12 - the day Germany decided boys are not quite human.

" If we were going to add all that we wouldn't make it a micro-transaction. If we did we would have to sell it for around 50$ for the many many many months of work we would have to put into it. The gore pack will most likely just increase the gore that comes out of enemy's on hit. This way we can sell it for cheaper and we leave the big changes for all the players to enjoy. " If you have been remotely following the games industry in Australia, you would know that the R18+ is going to be introduced sometime next year. Also, I believe the classification system is only for physical copies that get shipped into Australia to be sold on shelves. A game such as POE, which is solely digital, is not rated by the Australian Classification Board. And yes, those were sad examples of censorship in Australia. But being the pirate I am, I got the uncensored versions for free. "Minions of your minions are your minion's minions, not your minions." - Mark

" it would worth the 50 bucks for me and i think a lot of other players would buy it too. i mean its a free to play game how u want to make money if not adding great visuals if it wont be a pay to win game my idea possible split it up that u can buy single death animations of my suggestions for excample if u play a ranger u only need to buy the -exploding arrows which let the target exploade in pieces if u play another char u buy another animations for his weapon of choice so you can sell much more smaller gore packs i understand that in some countrys they dont want to have gore in games but in a game out of this perspective i think it wont be a problem and remember the default game is not brutal so you can make the gore packet avalible too all countrys allowing such content (the most) and you can make sure that an underage child can t buy it when he have to buy it with credit cards (would remove the paysave card buy option for this kind of content if there are any problems witch such a content) what you guys think would a nicly done gore worth some extra cash (50 bucks) or like 10 bucks for a smaller pack i would be defenetly the first who would buy it |

" To be honest, I haven't much followed recent trends in Australia, but if you get a 18+ rating that lets adults purchase uncensored versions of games - good for you. That still leaves Germany, where even 18+ ratings are not guaranteed to be uncensored. Here, "unrated" means "not allowed to advertise", and that does not mean that the game wasn't brought in to be rated. It means that that the rating agency might have decided that it was to violent to get a 18+ label. Or it might mean that the compnay didn't bring in a game for review, because those reviews are expensive. That also means that here, 18+ games sometimes still are censored. And that also means that some companies censor 'prohibitively' in order to make sure their game is even allowed to sell normally in Germany. Because "not allowed to advertise" means that in order to buy a game, you will have to explicitly ask for it. You are not allowed to display it on shelves, in online-shops etc. And that would go for 'Gore Packs' as well. Which means that even if you had a CC to verify your age (which Steam does not recognize as a viable verification method, btw), you still couldn't even see the product you'd want to pay for. And yes, normally, my go-to is to import such games. But seeing how PoE is distributed (online only; that's why I chose Steam games as my example: You cannot get uncensored versions of ANY censored game if you buy it over Steam with a German IP. Yes, you can proxy, but THEN you may have problems with paying, since prices are coupled to region), and that they can easily verify my IP (and for the sake of ping, I won't proxy all the time), playing the uncensored version here might become more trouble than it's worth. I'm hoping that none of this happens, but I'd rather point out difficulties with "too much gore" now than to suffer the consequences later. You know, when enemies disappear into twinkling rainbows and stuffed teddies and leave puddles of single-malt whiskey behind. Which would be awesome but for the fact I can't drink it :-/. 12/12/12 - the day Germany decided boys are not quite human. Last edited by Avireyn#0756 on Nov 8, 2012, 8:01:16 AM
