How to check an item's ilvl before buying it

I don't know how popular or how well-known this method is, or if there are way better.
Nevertheless, for some players it is a risk to buy items of a certain itemlevel, because they don't know if they get fooled or not. But there is a way to check the itemlevel of an item before buying it, and that's what I'd like to show you here:

1) When you are in the tradewindow, hold your cursor over the item and click Crtl + C
(Hold Crtl while clicking C, that's the command to copy; my Paint doesn't take the game cursor so I just painted it):




2) Open your Editor or your standard text program. Click Crtl + P to paste the properities of the copied item (Hold Crtl while clicking P, that's the command to parse):




Among other stats, you will find the itemlevel of the item.
Now you can be totally sure if the named itemlevel is correct or not.


This is a very easy trick and I hope that I could help you out with this.

That is a good trick to know in general. You can also just paste it in to the in-game chat if you don't want to alt-tab.

But a much better way is just to hold down alt (I think) over it in the trade window, and it shows the item level for you.
