Zombie base damage ?
I'm currently trying to decide which support gem to use with my zombies to increase their damage.
If I want to take an educated decision when choosing among the many support gems available ("added fire damage", "added lighting damage", "increased minion damage", "faster attacks", "additional accuracy", etc.), I need some basic information. Currently, as far as minion damage is concerned, the only information I know is their base attack speed (1 attack per second) Anyone knows what is their base physical damage and their accuracy ? Thanks ! Having that kind of information for skeleton would be nice too. Not only for picking the appropriate support gems for them, but also for choosing between one type of minion vs the other. " They have their own monster level depending on which body you raise it out of (You raise a zombie out of a Mlvl62 monster, you get a Mlvl62 Zombie). They delevel if you walk into lower level zones. I don't think you'll ever get the damage out of that formula. |

" What's the Zombie base damage at Mlvl60 then ? The answer would at least give us an idea of their potential damage output. The current lack of basic information is starting to get annoying. I have the same problem with accuracy. What's the amount of accuracy required to reliably hit level 60 monsters ? No one seems to know. At least with accuracy, I could gather the data myself by leveling a character exclusively for that purpose. " That's kinda the problem. We know the formula for chance to hit, but the chance to hit you see in info is a figure of speech for the monster of your level. GGG has not actually leaked any information of each monster's evasion or defense rating for that matter. chance to hit = attacker_accuracy / ( attacker_accuracy + ((defender_evasion/4)^0.8)) reduction = armour / (armour + 12*damage) |

" +1 I feel you, I'm a summoner too and I don't know what gems to put some times. I have some proposals: 1) Most games flash the damage made in floating numbers, it's an interesting option to add. 2) Some games have dummies to test your abilities, like Aion and Dungeon Defenders, among others. In the case of minions, the dummies should be in a place where you can have minion presence. 3) When pressing C, the physical dps plus elemental dps SHOULD be there like most skills have, because it's not functioning right, if you take out the Minion Damage gem the stats does not change, if you take out the Lightning Damage gem, the dps disappears, it's really strange. Hope you hear our requests, summoners have been left behind for a long time, and still need some thoughts to create challenging builds like the ones on the build of the week videos. Well, I also would like to to know about the dmg of my minions. Add fire gem? Increase Minions dmg? I have no idea, what is better. How much dmg do they do when i pop this or that aura? Faster attacks gem perhaps?
Plz GGG, give us some information. I know that in some cases it is nice to let player find out stuff (like runewords in Diablo), but in some cases it is just annoying to be left alone. |

Do Spectres "delevel" the same way zombies do?
Or can you take highlvl spectres in very low areas and they keep their stats untouched? Last edited by zankioh#2265 on Feb 12, 2013, 6:11:02 AM

i'm pretty sure spectres don't delevel otherwise the spell itself wouldn't make much sense
spectres have reduced dmg compared to their original form, for that to make any sense it has to be of the specific monster you killed, not the specific monster in a specific map. the lack of info on minions is really annoying though. I have no idea how much damage they do.. i know they do about 200 % of the original damage and when they explode they deal about 7K in splash damage.. since i have no other spells i know they have to be pretty efficient otherwise i wouldn't get far lol. Still, the lacking info is too much. If they can't make a base damage for them, they hovering the mouse over the spell when you're out playing should at least show their current average dps. |

All I know, is since we have a lack of information on base damage or attack speed, i figure, if i have anger and wrath running, attack speed gem will increase those damage by 25% at least.
I also have hatred running, and it seems that the pets do crit very rarely, as i've seen the mobs start to burn very rarely. But I have never seen them shatter or chill. So hence am guessing.. the 20% cold from phy is lower than my anger aura (24-40 fire damage). And if that is true... our pet's phy component is basically hitting like soft tissue.. p.s. Alternatively, could find some tanky guy, take of all the resist gears, and ask the pets to wail on him for a certain number of seconds. Since, for zombies, they follow the corpse.. what about skeletons?? |
