Taryn's Shiver "increased damage" on weapon swap & charges with totems

I have two questions:

1) Do the damage of totems get updated in real time, or are the stats of the totem locked in when it is cast. The two cases I am thinking of are with charges and weapon swaps. If I place a totem, then generate frenzy charges does the totem get the bonus or do I need to cast while I have the charges? Probably the same answer for the next part, but if I cast a totem with high spell damage wands, then weapon swap, do they get my current bonuses or the on cast bonuses?

2) If I am using the unique staff Taryn's Shiver, do monsters only take the increased damage as long as Taryn's Shiver is my active weapon, or if I freeze something with the staff as my main weapon, does the bonus damage get locked in for the duration of the freeze?

2) Pretty sure it would be frozen enemies you damage while Taryn's Shiver is equipped. Haven't tested it though.

Thank you very much! This is good to know. I really want to do freeze mine shenanigans now :D Yep, I want a multiple exalt item just to maximize the potential of Freeze Mine.
