Dual Claw or Claw/Shield?
I'm getting back into the game after a few month break and have decided to roll a CI Claw Shadow using Bloodseeker (and hopefully Reave!). I'm playing with some friends on hardcore, and I'm wondering which is better: claw + shield or dual claw?
Obviously dual claw will provide higher DPS - and thus more life leech. But will the added block and defensive stats from the shield outweigh the benefits dual wielding gives? Any opinions and advice are appreciated! |

It comes down to your personal play-style and opinion really.. You will clear stuff faster with dual-wielding, meaning you will take less damage and leech more life if you are a good/smart player.
If you don't trust yourself as much, or tend to play recklessly, you may want the shield and defense to help mitigate incoming damage. You COULD make a dual claw guy and take a bunch of the block chance while dual wielding nodes for extra protection while still doing high damage and leech. All viable options. I play reckless as all get out, so I go dual wield block. The extra leech and attackspeed are really nice.

Since I'm playing Hardcore I obviously don't want to die.
I know shields provide a ton of ES, and I was intending to go CI. I think it might be a bit reckless to go CI without a shield. But I really want to duel wield. Decisions, decisions... |

Hi.
I play shadow claw+shield with CI, Ghost Weaver, my main is frenzy+multistrike+melee splash+faster attacks and shield isn't necessary. Dual wield with good leach is all we need. ES pool 3k minimum, try to get chayula and dream fragments so mobs cant freeze u or stun and you'll survive anything. But there is small amount of good passives to support dual wield and it seems that DW looks nice but shield is much more usefull. If u get templar shield u get additional 24% res for all elements.
