Lightning Arrow: LMP to GMP switch?

At what point, if any, does lightning arrow based builds switch from LMP to GMP?

None.
The tradeoff of LMP/GMP is that GMP does damage in a larger area to more targets, while LMP does more damage per target. Oh, and the mana cost. How to make a build: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/510084

LA build based off of peirce would use GMP over LMP.

With my crit based LA build I could use GMP even with high mana cost because I use LGoH and Life Leech I don't really feel it unless I miss a bunch of times...

Disagree, a pierce-based build does not necessarily use GMP over LMP.
You switch if you want the area coverage (in exchange for damage) and can handle the cost. That's it. How to make a build: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/510084
