Death's Oath and Chaos Inoculation?

So Death's Oath deals 450 chaos damage to surrounding enemies, but each enemy you kill causes your character to take 450 chaos damage per second for 10 seconds. But what happens if you use the item with chaos inoculation? Does the immunity to chaos damage apply to this item? Or do you just die instantly?

You should get the immunity.
However that chest has no ES which will really hurt your survivability. Standard Forever

You are immune to Chaos damage when you have CI, so you won't take any Chaos damage, no matter where it come from.

As long you do not directly hit anything, the drawback will not activate. Think of a build where you do not have to lay a single finger, and still be productive.
Another way would be is to get a good amount of gears with life and chaos res, and also include this in the build. With enough life and life regen, you should be able to offset the drawback easily. I also recommend using vulnerability since it actually buff up the chest's debuff toward the mobs. Also include skills like Viper Strike or Poison Arrow to further benefit from the chest. Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game.

It's a pvp chest. 450 un-alterable dps is complete crap for PvE.

Great chest! A Unique as it should be!
Using it with my new char right now. She is only lvl66 yet but doin 69+ maps right now. The Chest Damage can be boosted with Vulnerability, Shock, and Blooddance to a significant ammount. And its for free mana wise! The core stats i currently have are:

11k Armor 10k Evasion 75%chaos res 81% all res 3200 Life 384 Liferegen/sec 7x Frezny, 5x Endu Perma Bloodrage 48% Lifeleech (instantly with Bloodseeker) Mainattack lvl22 Viperstrike (Multistrike, Manaleech) Its the most funny (and beastly) tank ive made so far, and killspeed is really not that bad!
