How many wisdom or portal scrolls do I need?

I have over 100 of each in my stash. Is there a reason to keep picking these things up?

Decide for yourself.I wouldn't pick up any more until I started to run dry if I were you.

I have a lot of Scrolls of Wisdom as well. Mostly because I started multiple characters and farmed the lower levels of the game. After OB and the Char wipe, I'll do just the opposite.

I suggested in Gen-Chat once, that GGG should make Scrolls of Wisdom harder to obtain by dividing them into 10 fragments instead of 5, I was essentially "Boo'd" out of Gen-Chat, as most people seem to be having a really tough time getting Scrolls of Wisdom.

You tend to run out of wisdom scrolls early game, but tend to stockpile them late game... unless you need fusings. Then you're id'ing lots of blues/yellows to get alts, which you use to buy jewelwer's at vendor, which you use buy fusings at vendor (8 alts = 4 jewelers = 1 fusing).

... so if you have lots of excess wisdom scrolls (and portals which you can vendor for wisdom 1:1) start converting them into fusings which you can sell or save for later.

EDIT: by "sell fusings" I mean trade

just to clarify further you can vendor wisdom scrolls>tp scrolls>transmutation>augmentation>alteration and so on moving up.

just keep them i ID every thing comes in my path and seems i never have enough.

When I have too many wisdoms I start ID'ing blues to see if I can find items that will trade for alchemy shards. If you're really drowning in scrolls, start buying orbs from the vendors with them.

When you are running maps OVER and OVER you will get TONS of rares. You need to identify rares in order to sell them, good or bad. I identify every rare I pick up.

I get more rares than scrolls of wisdom while running maps -- it's true. As a result, I need to frequently play my alts to farm up scrolls of wisdom again.

I also am frequently forced to sell my portal scrolls and turn them into wisdoms. It's quite funny really.
