Best way to sell items?
I already know what doesn't work. Posting in trade channels in game never gets me any results. I'm convinced that 90%+ of the player base has the trade channel ignored. I tested this a few minutes ago by offering to give some free uniques away, and surprisingly not a single person msg'd me. A few of them were decent like Aurseize.
I'm sitting on a bunch of unique items, even after vendoring all the low level junk ones. And it doesn't even seem like there is any market at all for mid-range gear? I'm talking level 60+ items with decent stats, like 80+ HP + dual resists? Should I just always vendor those items? Because I damn well can't sell them. If there isn't a market for such items, then the economy is totally screwed. I'm the sorta person who would rather vendor the items than waste my time trying to sell them for 1 chaos or less. If its a decent mid-range rare I feel like its worth at least 3 chaos or a GCP, if not then someone tell me so I can go ahead and vendor all this stuff I got. " I'm in anarchy, and I'm sitting on a ton of stuff I feel like I should be able to sell for something, but I get not a single offer, ever on any of it. I've had 2 5L armors I've been trying to sell for 1 week, and I'm not even setting a price on them, taking offers. ***Edit, I just offered to sell these in anarchy for 1ex (Not actually serious), and nobody even msg'd me back!! I checked your post history and found one crucial mistake. You wrote "You're free to make an offer, and I'm willing to budge a little on prices on some of the items." People DONT like to offer. Its a fact. However they are much more inclined to pay a bit more than expected if you name a price.
For trading in trade chat: which channel were you in? Make sure to always go to /trade 1 and try to sell there. You can go as far as reposting your message in trade channels 1-10. I do it up to 20 and usually get the stuff sold within minutes because a) I name a price and b) i maximize my target audience by writing in different trade channels. Any more questions? Oh and for giving stuff away try /global 1. It seems to be always populated very well. IGN = Annihilator_of_Worlds

" I've tried placing prices as well as taking offers. Can you explain to me why nobody jumps on a high roll Rainbowstrides for 1ex? I wasn't seriously going to sell them for that, but I expected a bunch of people to msg me. |

Splitting the trade channels probably didn't help, but I agree the only way I've been able to sell things in anarchy is if someone posts a msg saying 'wtb xxxx'. I only have 1 item I'm trying to sell at this point, everything else I've just vendored.

" Bad timing with no one paying attention? I offered to sell an ex for 15 chaos just for the lulz (when they were 60) and no one messaged me. I have seen someone post twice that they want to trade their ex for 10 regals. Sometimes this happens. Dont get discouraged by that. Selling items is all about patience and applying the tricks i mentioned. IGN = Annihilator_of_Worlds

Start a thread if you haven't already and the indexers will find you, especially if you price. I have ppl buying from a thread I haven't touched in a month. Takes longer but I wouldn't vendor well rolled items.
