Minions - IIQ/IIR

Short question about minions please: If I link IIQ/IIR to minions, is it efficient? There is threads that say it is efficient, but bugged, others say it´s no problem and works. I remember a thread that said clearly minions and MF does not work. ( But cannot find this thread anymore)

Tried to verify it myself and came to totally different results: Sometimes it seemed to work great, on other occasions my results have been poorer than without MF. Tried in different areas and normal-cruel-merciless. But there seems to be nothing I can rely upon.

Does somebody know more about this?

Tried it on Zombies and skeletons, not on spectres yet

They work fine on minions, they don't work on minion instability damage, however.
thx for answer, got no minion instability. Just tried it again and seemed fine on IIR, but no effect on IIQ....Strange...Any other knowledge????

I've been playing a summoner and my strong recommendations:
1) Don't link IIQ/IIR to minions. Depending on minions to be meatshields is frustrating enough (that 3% of the time they get distracted and won't get between you and that archer pack); depending on them for last hit is enough to drive you mad, like that feeling of letting the dog out an waiting on it to take a shit, over and over again. Stick to non-MF supports on them.
2) Link IIQ and/or IIR, along with Culling Strike, to your attack. Now your job is getting last hit and you've got Culling to help. It's okay if your damage is a little low because you're a summoner
3) Don't try to totem up your attack. Minion AI focus on enemies you click on directly, and if you go fully remote you'll find yourself cursing the same monster twice a second for a whole battle so your minions focus on it properly. If you're worried about reflect just add Life Leech of LGoH to your 5/6L, but since your damage will be somewhat low it might not be a big enough concern to eat a support slot.
When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

Thnx Scrotie, will try and follow you as far possible is for my build. Will give feedback about success when I´m back to play. ( Now RL-Break)
Should have pointed out that I'm assuming no Minion Instability with my recommendations. MI makes things harder because the explosions deal plenty of damage and can take out enemies from well over 10% life in a hurry, but can't really be counted on either; this makes it frustrating trying as a MFer, because you'll get your last-hit stolen by your minions often yet not reliably. If you go MI you'd want to consider giving IIQ/IIR support gems to both your minion skill and your primary attack skill, although I actually recommend not using MI for a MF summoner in order to make your minions' role clearer (pure tank) and to allow consistently with last-hitting.

It's actually a little bizarre how much farming with a MF summoner feels like laning in League of Legends... except usually with less stress involved.
