1) You must tell me why you would like a Path of Exile beta key?

I'm studying for finals all this week running myself ragged. Next week I'm hoping to do well on all my finals and hope the hard work paid off. Getting a beta key would be a great way for me to unwind from all the stress and would help me have a nice, relaxing winter break! I don't know if you'll read this as you have a lot of submissions, but I'd like to think that hard work deserves a reward :)

2) Offense or defense? Why?

Offense! I'm thinking about playing a caster type. I've always played a melee heavy, tanking type in every MMO-like game (WoW, D3, etc.) And I want to experiment with raw damage this time around!

I appreciate this giveaway even if I may not be picked, you purchased a lot of keys!

Path of Exile looks like the type of game I could play forever, of course I can't say this for certain as I haven't played it but it's definately looking positive. Then again I remember almost thinking this about Diablo 3 but in hindsight I think that was more my memories of Diablo 2 talking and since the game was a hit and miss for me I think I have grown more synical and less receptive to various marketing schemes. I would like to play Path of Exile, I think I would enjoy playing. I like having fun.

On your question regarding offensive or defensive etc. I think it may depend but I have a hobby playing poker and there I have learned that if you are not being aggressive you will not be winning in the long term. That doesn't mean you have to play like a maniac, just that if you consistently take passive lines you will miss out on value and people will easily exploit you. If you are the fit or fold kind of guy then people will know to fold when you raise and you will never be able to win big with your big hands, which is sometimes what is required. Offense = Aggression in my mind but defence doesn't neccesarily mean you are passive. So it's tough to distinguish which is best but I think a smart offensive strategy will win more in the long run vs a smart defensive strategy. But then I think there is room for every strategy and if you apply the right strategy at the right time you will ultimately be more successful rather than if you have a standard aggressive line and take it every time.

OK, so here is the scoop, all my buddy's are in the beta its been along time since we could all agree on a game to play and it looks like this is it... this is the game that is bringing us all together well with one set back i don't have the money for the game or i would have bought it by now. i have been on the forums every night 4-5 hours trying to get a key im sick of playing people hey do this hey figure this out games to get a key all tho it is nice to see them giving away these key's i feel like im just jumping through hoops and no one likes that feeling. i just want to play some games with my friends thank you for your time

I recently learned of Path of Exile. I've been watching some streams
and the game looks amazing. Actually it looks pretty much like what I
expected Diablo 3 to be like. I had huge expectations for that game,
but this seems this game might be what Diablo 3 should have been.

My reason for wanting a beta key is that many of my friends have recently
acquired a beta key and started playing and I would really love to join
them. They do not have any beta keys to give away however. I really like
playing multiplayer games with my friends because that makes gaming so
much more fun, but I currently have to play other games solo, because I
am missing the beta key for this game.

From what I've seen and heard about Path of Exile it seems to be the best
game in its genre at the moment, so I can't pass on a chance to get a key
when it is given to me. If I can't find a key before the open beta, I
will feel a bit left outside, because my friends will already have so much
experience of this game (even though characters are wiped) and I'm still
learning the basics.

Offense is (almost always) the best defense!

Most of my gaming career was in D2 and D2-LOD. Played D2-LoD on the pvp ladders to rank 8 as sorc and assasin, couldn't get enough of the game then was excited when D3 came out, but of course was extremly dissapointed. Would love to be able to get back into the game-type I loved. This game looks so promissing.

I am all about the offense, I prefer the mage/caster types.
